Discovering Your Application Inventory

The Application Inventory window displays a summary of all the discovered applications across the sources in your network.

Click Discover>Application Inventory. The Application Inventory page is displayed.

 

The following table lists the elements in the Application Inventory window.

Item

Description

Discovered

Displays the number of applications discovered.

Most Installs

Displays the most installed discovered application, and the number of instances.

Most Connections

Displays the application with the most connections, and the number of connections.

Most Utilized

Displays the most utilized application, and hostname on which it is installed.

Filter

Lets you filter the list of applications by OS, assigned group, or IP/hostname.

Application

The name of the application. Click the name to view application details.

Sources

The number of sources on which the application is installed.

OS

The OS of the source on which the application is installed.

Status

Displays the status of the application.

Lets you monitor a selected application.

Opens a menu of actions that you can perform on the selected application:

  • Monitor an application

  • Exclude an application

  • View the sources associated with an application

Click an icon to perform more actions.

From left to right:

  • View a report of the Application Summary.

  • Export the summary to PDF, a CSV file, or print.
